Wolves & Thieves recorded their first full-length at The Compound in Santa Cruz, helmed by the mighty Joe Clement. We are happy to announce that we will be releasing the CD version of their album, while Lorelei Records will be handling the digital release. Anyone who has seen Wolves live recently knows there is good reason to be excited about their new material. The band put in long days at the Compound, recording a slew of new tracks and refining a few favorites from their demo. On their debut full length, Lux’s penchant for introspection continues to evolve. His words lean toward the existential on “The Tide,” the political on “1968,” and the cautionary on “Poisoned.” Lux’s lyrics ring especially poignant alongside Blasquez and McAllister’s increasingly intricate and engaging guitars, anchored by the deft rhythm section of Block and Wiseman. The new songs are another big step forward for Wolves.
